Hey, I'm James. In the previous video, I introduced you to what POG is going to be. Once again, it stands for People of God, and how can I run this account if I don't share my own story and where I saw the transformation in my life from through God. So I got saved round about when I was eight years old at a church called Glenridge, and I guess for the four years I was there as a child, I really did love God. And I got baptized round about the age of 12, but then the teenage years happened, and I just remember a version of me that I'm not proud of when I look back at those years. And during those times, I think I was light about stuff. I was getting into fights just about every single day in school. I was angry about something, and I'd never been able to figure out what was I angry about during those teenage years that I would seek out fights every single day.
And when I was 14, I even got stabbed with a pair of scissors in school. Like the doctor said that much more, and it would have hit my heart, and I would have died. And I would get times where I almost got robbed on roads that are usually empty, and in those moments where I have been under threats on those roads, all of a sudden people would go past on roads that were normally abandoned. So God obviously was always there protecting me and saving me. But in 2006, I started attending a church that my mother was going to called the Rock Church in Sunnydale. And in that time, my motives were probably not right at the time. There was a cute girl there, but I remember that was the same year I got kicked out of school for fighting with a teacher. And during that time of being kicked out, I actually started working at the Rock Church for about six months before I could go to a technical college to continue studying.
And during that time, working there, the anger that I had inside of me just vanished and disappeared. And I don't, to this day, to actually get me to a point where I'm angry or that I want to fight is nearly impossible because God changed something in me in those six months that I worked at the church. And through that time, my foundation with God has been stronger, and I can't explain to this day why I can't get angry or why I was so angry as a teenager. I can only attribute it to God's glory and God's grace and His hand of protection over my life, that I'm here today, that I'm the man that I've become and not some angry guy throwing away his life. Who knows, maybe if I kept fighting, I would be dead by now or something. So through the glory of God and His power and will for my life, I am still here. And hopefully one day, I'll be able to impact someone else's life that is going through something similar. Thanks for watching. Follow for more content like this. Bye.
