Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Podssi, a podcast hosting platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
The service
Podssi lets you host podcast audio, publish RSS feeds and public pages, invite teammates, and (on paid plans) expand storage and show limits. Features may evolve; we will not remove core hosting without notice where reasonably possible.
Accounts & workspaces
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure.
- Workspace owners are responsible for members they invite and content published from the workspace.
- You must be able to enter into a binding agreement and comply with South African and other applicable law.
Acceptable use
You may not use Podssi to:
- Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content
- Abuse the platform, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with other users
- Misrepresent affiliation with Podssi or third-party platforms
- Resell the service without our written permission
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the platform or others.
Your content
You retain ownership of your podcast content. You grant Podssi a license to host, process, transcode, deliver, and display that content as needed to operate the service (including CDN delivery and public/RSS distribution you enable).
You are responsible for having the rights to any audio, artwork, and text you upload, and for complying with platform rules of directories where you submit your feed.
Plans & billing
- Free and paid plan limits are described on our Pricing page and may change with notice.
- Paid plans are billed in South African Rand (ZAR) through Paystack.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in the Billing settings by a workspace owner.
- Cancelling stops future renewals at the end of the current billing period; see our Cancellation Policy.
- Refunds are limited as described in our Refund Policy.
- Cancelling moves the workspace to the Free plan when the paid period ends; content already hosted remains subject to Free limits for new uploads.
AI features
Optional transcription and show-note generation may send audio or text to third-party AI providers. Outputs can contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing before publishing.
Availability & disclaimer
We aim for reliable hosting but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data (beyond reasonable recovery efforts), or indirect damages, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using Podssi at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms or prolonged non-payment. Upon termination, we may delete workspace data after a reasonable period unless law requires retention.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be highlighted where practical.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Courts of South Africa have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
